 Tomahawk Steak- Reverse Seared



Ingredients 

1 2.5-3lbs tomahawk steak

Salt and pepper

4 Tblsp butter for melting


  1. Allow steak to come to room temperature, approximately 2 hours. 
  2. Preheat smoker to 225 degrees. Liberally salt and pepper both sides. Smoke for approximately 1 hour or an internal temp of 115. 

  3. Preheat grill to around 400 degrees. Meanwhile melt butter for brushing the steak. 
  4. Seer steak about 3-5 minutes per side, brushing both sides with melted butter. Cook to desired temperature, I preferred medium rare (135 degrees)

  5. Allow to rest 10-15 minutes, slice, serve, enjoy!
