Tomahawk Steak- Reverse Seared
Ingredients
1 2.5-3lbs tomahawk steak
Salt and pepper
4 Tblsp butter for melting
- Allow steak to come to room temperature, approximately 2 hours.
- Preheat smoker to 225 degrees. Liberally salt and pepper both sides. Smoke for approximately 1 hour or an internal temp of 115.
- Preheat grill to around 400 degrees. Meanwhile melt butter for brushing the steak.
- Seer steak about 3-5 minutes per side, brushing both sides with melted butter. Cook to desired temperature, I preferred medium rare (135 degrees)
- Allow to rest 10-15 minutes, slice, serve, enjoy!#tomahawksteak #smoker
