Smoked Pork Loin
Pork loin and pork tenderloin are very different cuts of meat. A tenderloin is often smaller (around 1lbs), skinnier, and will cook or grill much faster than a pork loin.
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4lbs whole boneless pork loin
- 1TBLS Chinese five spice
- 2tsp salt
- 1tsp black pepper
- 1/2tsp garlic powder
- 1/4tsp nutmeg
- 2TBLS olive oil.
Directions:
1) Pre-heat smoker to 225. Apple wood would be great for this recipe, I used the Traeger competition blend.
2) Combine all ingredients into a bowl.
3) Pat the pork loin dry with paper towels. This will help the smoked to penetrate and the spice rub to adhered.
4) Once smoker is ready, place pork loin in smoker. Smoke for 3-5 hours or until you reach an internal temperature of 155 degrees.
5) Once you have reached the desired temperature, remove from the smoker and rest for 25 minutes.
6) Once the pork loin has rested, slice, serve, enjoy!
